Fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) is a type of dye penetrant inspection in which a fluorescent dye is applied to the surface of a non-porous material in order to detect defects that may compromise the integrity or quality of the part in question. Noted for its low cost and simple process, FPI is used widely in a variety of industries. Highly sensitive fluorescent penetrant is ideal for even the smallest imperfections. It is low cost and potentially high volume, suitable for inspection of non-magnetic materials and electrical insulators.
GreatUV UV LED lamps are ideal for FPI. UV50-S is 50mm diameter UV spot and 25000µW/cm² at 38cm irradiation distance. UV100-N is 100mm diameter UV spot and 8000µW/cm² at 38cm irradiation distance. DT-365S is 120mm diameter UV spot and 4000µW/cm² at 38cm irradiation distance. More new UV LED NDT lamps will be gradually announced.
